Trained as Drilling Engineer, strong background in all aspects of well design, well planning and rig operations.
Held Senior Management positions in number of the major operators
Direct experience as Project Manager and Drilling Superintendent for a number of major projects in the North Sea
Head of Well Engineering for the HSE

International experience of drilling and formation evaluation.
Extensive experience in interactive well design covering topics such as Horizontal, ERD and Multi-lateral wells, Geosteering, Wellbore Stability, and Drilling Optimisation.
Author of a number of SPE papers and other technical articles on Multilateral well design, Geosteering, and Drilling Optimisation.
Active SPE member and served on the committee for the Amsterdam SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and the SPE Forum Series Steering Committee.

Experienced International Operations Manager

Technical expertise in LWD, wireline logging, petrophysics, directional drilling and well bore survey.
Understanding of the cost make-up for well construction and avoidance cost over-runs through selection of appropriate technology with focus on fit for purpose, efficient and high quality products and services.
Understanding of the tender and contract negotiation process for well construction goods and services.
Strong financial management skills with good understanding of investment decisions, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow components and their influence on business success.

Experienced onshore & offshore Operations Drilling Engineer. Included Formation pressure evaluation, drilling and geological data analysis.
Involved with various aspects of project management and engineering projects for a range of clients.
Well Engineering studies including Torque and Drag analysis, hydraulics, swab surge analysis, cementing, bit selection, extended reach drilling, cuttings disposal studies and researching coiled tubing drilling options..
Specialist experience in multilateral technologies (MLT) focused on: project co-ordination / management, wellsite supervision and well engineering, equipment development and testing, software models for MLT selection.
Additional experience in Quantitative Risk Analysis techniques, especially related to multilateral operations.
